Starting a local SEO agency has been a long time coming for me. After years of working in computing and business, and more recently helping my own company automate processes with bespoke software solutions, I’ve realised how crucial digital visibility is for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Businesses today need more than just great products or services—they need to be found, and that’s where SEO and web development come in.
I’ve decided to enter the SEO world because I’m passionate about helping local businesses succeed in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
My Journey and Experience
My journey started with a deep interest in technology, computing, and business. I’ve always been fascinated by how websites and technology can solve real-world problems. This interest led me to recently complete a master’s in computing, where I focused on building up self-learning and then developing an integrated web-app system for small businesses.
The solution aimed at automating tasks and eliminating duplication, which made me realise how transformative digital solutions can be for businesses.
Running a construction niche business for over two decades also gave me hands-on experience in managing and growing a company.
This combination of business and tech expertise has shaped my understanding of what small businesses really need—not just efficient operations but also growth opportunities, particularly in the digital space.
While working with bespoke apps and other websites, I saw firsthand how businesses struggled with the digital transformation journey.
They often had great products but needed more digital presence to attract new customers. This is where I saw an opportunity to leverage my passion for business and technology in a new way—by helping companies to improve their online visibility and rank better in local search results.
Why SEO?
SEO is one of the most cost-effective ways for businesses to grow, and the local aspect of SEO is important for small businesses. Local SEO allows businesses to connect with potential customers in their area, helping them get seen by people searching for their specific services or products. It’s a more targeted approach that makes a huge difference in the competitiveness of local markets.
Having spent time integrating technology into business processes, I now want to use SEO as a tool to help businesses thrive. Optimising websites is a long-term game, but its results are sustainable and, when done right, incredibly impactful. I’m excited about the challenge of navigating the ever-changing digital landscape and using my skills to help businesses stay competitive.
Looking Forward to Helping Local Businesses Transform
There’s something rewarding about helping businesses succeed, especially local ones that contribute so much to our communities.
By helping local businesses improve their online visibility and rank higher on search engines, I’ll be able to contribute to their growth. I’m excited to work alongside companies in my area, helping them not only get seen but also flourish in this digital era.
I look forward to helping businesses on their digital transformation journey, using SEO as a foundation. It’s about more than just rankings and traffic—it’s about bringing long-term growth and success to businesses that are often overlooked.
This new chapter is incredibly exciting for me. It merges my background in business, technology, and digital solutions with a hands-on approach to helping local businesses grow. I can’t wait to start this journey and help businesses achieve their full potential in the digital world.
If you have any projects that you’d like to discuss, i’d be happy to chat with you.
